To Rangers, veterans, and all other board members-
My name is Eric, I'm 20 years old and I am currently a sophomore @ Florida State University. The end of spring semester is approaching fast and I'm debating whether or not to finish my degree, or enlist in the army. The parties and girls here are definitely crazy, but I'm not exactly sure what I want to do with my education. As of now, my declared major is criminology, but I don't want to just jump into it with out being totally dedicated. Also, I’ve always wanted to serve our country in some way, and the loyalty and dedication shown by the rangers throughout this site is something I respect highly and am very interested in.
Thank you to anyone who helps with this site and definitely to anyone who has served our county- next time I’m at the bar I’ll raise one up for you guys. Cheers.

Welcome,
I too am a college op. I am going on my last year and then on to a career in the United States Army , God willing, as a Ranger. My advice would be to Finish what you started. The Army world is all about completing the mission. Raise the bar for yourself and get your degree, then it's mission completed.

i too was in college once just like you wondering WTF to do. i had done 4 yrs of JROTC, went to basic and was enrolled in ROTC, and waiting for spring practice to start to play football.
as i was walking from one class to another a C130 flew over head. i said fuck it. took my books sold them back to college. i went to see a recruiter and told him i wanted to be an army ranger. he said no-go all he could give me was airborne unassigned. i said fuck it i will take it. the next day i went to meps. 4 days later i was at fort benning, 3 months later i was donning my black beret!
go with your gut. the years 90-97 were the best yrs of my life
