This site has given me several good hours of fantastic reading. Thank you all again for the warm welcome. I will try my best to become a positive poster... as time allows.
I am in my last semester at DLI, Mastering the Arabic Language. At my age, I am competing with 18-20 year olds... and it AIN'T easy!
Spartan... Fucking CHEERS TO YOU Mate... for a SPLENDID site and a fantastic job.

Actually, it's 63 weeks... if you don't recycle. I have about four months of class left before I graduate. But, I am facing knee surgery on my left knee so I can go back on Jump Status. Torn MCL / LCL and flap tears in my meniscus... if that happens, I may roll back a bit so I can heal.Sapper Mike wrote:That goddamn place was almost the death of me, and German was only 8 months. The OG-107's went out in 87 or 88 I think. They were not authorized when I went to Ranger School. The guys in the front row in OG's are Canadians...Zonk 1/75 wrote:Welcome here Ranger!
Little confused on your Hooah School photo................. Whats with all the BDU's? I thought Rangers wear Jungles!?
Looking back on that picture... I can't believe how damn skinny I was!
Then again, I was only 23 years old.

I was probably the last person in 3rd Bn to wear OG107's in school. I had to borrow BDU's to wear to graduation. The Regt changed over will I was in Pre-Ranger.GSXRanger wrote:The OG-107's went out in 87 or 88 I think. They were not authorized when I went to Ranger School.
