Barry McCaffrey pinned the CIBs on the LRS unit I was attached to. there were several 1st Batt Rangers and myself with CIBs from Panama. We were made to stand off to the side while the rest of the unit got pinned. We were told that we were NOT qualified to wear the CIB with a star as Panama "didn't count", or some such horse shit. I haven't like McCaffrey too much since then.

So does this mean that I could have been strutting around with a star back then, or did they change something since that time period?
Thats me right there.

I got two separate sets of orders, one for each. My 214 states a CIB 2nd award but I don't have orders stating it.
The problem with the CIB right now is the fact that, much like AR 670-1, AR 600-8-22 (Awards) is going through so many changes. DA is publishing ALARACTS and sending them out, waiting for a later point in time to actually redo both ARs. You can't find any ACU info in AR 670-1, you have to go to Army G-1 website and look it up. Same goes for 600-8-22. If you look in it now, it doesn't go past Desert Storm for the CIB.

Note: That poser POS has updated his website to remove his actual name, which used to be in his "General info" questionnaire. Looks like someone isn't as tough as he thought he was.....

yeah, so i went to the myspace rangers thing. and im really disappointed to say the least. is this what battalion has really boiled down to in the past few years ive been gone? if you guys are really true then i have lost a lot of respect for the Rangers overall.

it used to be a brotherhood where the rangers were rangers and those who werent were mentored and shown how by those who were, not a group of "over-qualified" finger pointers. im sorry to see what it has come down to... maybe the compound is really starting to get to people. SGT MONDS would not be pleased.

What's really funny is that he says "In the years that I have been gone." Like he's even that old enough to say 'have things changed that much since..." hahaha.

Wow. How do these guys fit so much bullshit inside them?

Seriously. some of those guys are putting everyone around them at risk. The internal pressure of all that bullshit could cause them to detonate at any moment!

Well i was in A co. 3rd Bn at that time and i never saw him there, And if he was the there he must have been a RFS. I think that he probobally failed RIP and has to make up for his own failures to try to be COOL to others. If and If he was ever in Regt. he would know not to disrespect any fellow senior Rangers. Thats just my POV on that.

I was browsing the myspace military groups to see if any of them happened to be a 13F(Info for my bro) and I saw this one 16yr old post all this shit about him having slots in all these schools and shit like that(Hes a cadet I gathered). Heres his about me section:
I have wanted to be a Marine all my life, but the Army has came to me with an offer I could not pass up. If you have any questions about it, you could ask me. I'll just give you part of it right now. I have slots in Ranger school, Airbone school, Air Assault school, Pathfinder school, FRIES and SPIES Master, Reppel Master, and Specail Forces shcool, not to mention a commission, and a starting salary of $60,000. I'm not doing it for the money, but I have always wanted to jump out of planes, fast rope down helicoptors, and be Special Forces. I couldn't pass it up. After 6 years of Rangers, I will transfer to the Marines and do Force Recon. The Marines are still the best, and the will always be!
