Rangers, i have been rejected from the Army on account of medical reasons, a fractured back (it's not nearly as bad as it sounds). Sorry to let you guys down. I thought i could hide this from them but apparently they found out. So i'll be going back to college to get some sort of degree and hopefully they'll take me later on and stick me behind a desk (shit).
Thank you Rangers for all of your help and advice, I've learned a lot from this site and i'm sure i will learn lots more in the future from this site. You are all heros and it would have been an honor to serve with you.

A fractured back?
Dude, you should have consulted me. I would have given you no shit advice that would have at least gotten you into the Army.
Anyhoo.
Once a PDQ is in the system for a SSN, It's there for 5 years.
At least, that a little inside info I learned from a reliable MEPS source back in the day.

After my first attempt at enlistment in 1993 I was no-go for having asthma medication in my medical record from age 8. I waited the five years to try again.
During my second processing in 1998, MEPS personnel did inquire why I was in the system, but they apparently had no specific notes on my first visit.
I simply answered my original effort I was not assured a Option 40 (at the time I did not know the term, had not found this site yet), so I withdrew my effort to enlist. He accepted this answer, and moved on.
If your interested in military service for the same reasons I am, your desire to serve will never leave. Follow up now on information that will position your entrance later on in five years.
Don't give up. Good luck to you.

War is cruelty. There's no use trying to reform it, the crueler it is the sooner it will be over.

Re: rejected.
You are giving up too easily. You got slapped in the nuts. Stand up and realize it is time to adapt and overcome.virgin wrote:Rangers, i have been rejected from the Army on account of medical reasons, a fractured back (it's not nearly as bad as it sounds).
