Introduction

Post by El_Pitbull »

Greetings Rangers,

My Name is Raymond, I'm 22 years old. I am re-enlisting in the Army, I have Airborne and hope to join the ranks of the Rangers one day. The main reason I am visiting the site, is for research.

Thank you Rangers for all you do.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

And what exactly does that mean?

Ranger AbnRgr289,

When I was enlisted the first time, I did not take the military seriously. I did split-op between my junior, and senior year. I got lazy when I got back and never shipped AIT. It was my fault, and I realize that. I take responsibility for my actions. But I have realized the need for the Military in my life. I didn't come here for any Pity, and I don't expect any.

OK, apparently your prior service is reserve component.
If you're going RA this time, there's some issues particular to your situation that are dealt with in the 'recruiting' forum.

In the RC, there's no situation that you can't overcome, especially if you're NG.
I won't wish you luck, you'll make your own.

Ranger K.Ingraham

My Prior service was National Guard. Thank you and I will refer to the forum that you mentioned and do some reading. Just curious but I’m not exactly sure what RA, and RC stand for, I am hoping RA means Ranger, but I may be wrong, could you please clear those up for me so I know?

Thank you in Advance

Well, you made a mistake. Hopefully you'll learn from it.

Get yourself another avatar from Newt or Newt2 only. Your time in service is not enough to warrant you your own avatar.
