Hummmm, too bad.

2 of the Deps I was working with went "lost contact" some weeks back. I suspect they too, have joined the ranks of " I was going to be a Ranger"....(but I sucked)

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

Exactly! There are several forms of quiting.....missing Monday morning formation would be just one of them......some forms of quiting are even more subtle.

Just another quitter. Well, better they go now, rather than in the middle of a firefight.

He might have been my former roommate. A parachute rigger, now on WW assignment for this reason. There were four riggers in RIP pending and they were always loudmouthing about being badasses... and to my knowledge none of them are in RIP right now.

15 years after I've gotten out out of the service and it still motivates the fuck out of me every time I hear about a quitter.

It makes my accomplishment, as well as that of every other Ranger that has earned the right to be there seem all the more special to me!

And to all you quitters out there reading this on worldwide assignment somewhere without your shit....

neener neener NEEEEEENER!!!!! :P
