Ink For A Reason wrote:Sorry Rangers I should have been more clear. What I meant when I said I had read them is that I had gone and found them and read them after being told to do so by Ranger Matador275 and that the problems (not capitalizing Ranger and not having my avatar) have now been corrected. If I am still missing anything then please let me know.

In response to Ranger Hoover's Mentee, no I do not have 15 college credits however my recruiter swears up and down that I can get the option 40 in my contract. And this is after telling him that I will not join if I do not get the option 40 in writing. so i guess i will find out in two days when i go to MEPS. As for my PT scores I am at 49 push-ups, 60 sit-ups, and my 2-mile run time is 15:52. I am working on these daily.

Until next time.
Shut the fuck up.

15 creds can be done in one semester, if you dont get enlisted this time, get enrolled in summer school & the fall semester & take all the comp/english & speaking courses you can.
No matter what you do in life, you need to communicate - to be understood & to understand whether speaking, reading or especially writing. All of which are valuable to a soldier.
Use the time to get in shape. Whatever shape you're in now - it is NOT good enough.
Seems like a long time? Believe me, a year is NOTHING. So, if you have the goal set, you'll be reporting to Benning next January & it'll seem like no time's passed at all.
Don't get too hung up on toting a rifle - the regiment needs good medics & they're a lot harder to find, consider the soft skill MOSs if the Opt40 is open for them when the 11X isn't. Just stay the heck out of the kitchen or support company MOSs. 13F is another good one, the guns you get to play with are a LOT bigger
Good luck getting in right now. Let us know what happened then shut up & read, in between workouts and loong walks/runs.
Great info on PT in here. Get to it.
There, now that I've gone and played 'Daddy', I'll STFU & go away.

Teching Ipods...Collecting Tatts...Hmmm ?

What color is your hair junior?

How many piercings do you have?

Why are you wearing pants that don't fit?

I would welcome you, but I am 100% certain you are full of shit and will not amount to anything. You might make a lot of money but you'll never be a Ranger!

Thanks for the update Ink, assuming you earn your wings, you will be going to war, too bad it might be with the 82d, but that sure beats life in an ACR.

Ranger K.Ingraham, why is it too bad that I might be deployed with the 82nd? Is there somthing wrong with the 82nd?
Don't try and bait someone into saying something asshole. He made himself fucking clear. No one hear has any problems with the 82nd, the point was that if you want to be a part of the best that the Army has, then go be a part of the best that the Army has... Obviously the US Army Rangers.

I am truly wondering if you have what it takes to do either as you seem to be displaying a give up attitude already. That "It's ok if I end up here, I will settle..." This is not an I will settle world. Perhaps you should consider putting your special helmet back on, picking up your box of Ritz crackers and climbing back into the little yellow schoolbus in time for the field trip to the zoo. I think you may be happier in that Special Needs world.

Are you saying you would not serve your country if you couldn't be a Ranger?

Chill out, Airborne.

Standard hardline we advocate to get them what they want.

Keep your advice and comments to things NON-Ranger.
