I am a dep

Post by Legi0n »

Hello Legi0n Reporting in ……again… I am 31, and A DEP, I ship on JAN 12, 2006. I could not get a ranger contract, Turns out that I don’t have 20/20 vision on at least one eye, so I can not get a 11X contract, but I wasn’t going to give up so I went in as a 91W, but could not secure a option 40 at this time, so I am going to do it the hard way and volunteer for airborne after basic, and rip after that. Even if I cant get into a ranger regiment, I am stoked to be serving my country in anyway I can.

My recruiter claims that I can get eye surgery, and switch over to infantry, but I think he is full of shit, and its not a big deal to me, shit I am going to be a fucking medic, and that’s awesome..

If anyone has some good information for me becoming a medic I would like it. I got some EMT-B books to study, and some charts of Anatomy, and medical terms. Also an Anatomy coloring book, yeah I know it sounds stupid, but I think it will help me learn anatomy. I also downloaded the 91W MOS soldier’s manual (STP 8-91W15-SM-TG)

If there are any medics here who I can talk to I would vary appreciative for any information you may have..

Welcome. 91W is a great choice. Remeber your ABCs and you'll be fine! Now - be sure to capitilize the word 'Ranger' at all times!

Never give up. I too had to do it ass-backwards. But I did it.
It is very possible to get it done, but you have to want it that bad, to make EVERY MOVE you make each day another step closer to your goal.
I.E. Squared Away/Squared Away/Squared Away in everything.
Good luck, Pm me if you need a kick in the ass.
