So when the dopers backpack up drugs, they hike up near a road and then wait till their ride shows and then cross load the dope into a car or cars and the car hauls ass into the interior of the US. In my area 99.9% of the stuff is marijuana. What you’re seeing in the pics is the burlap sack that the bundles of marijuana were carried up in. The mules (two legged kind) throw the bundle in a burlap sack and tie on some seatbelt webbing for shoulder straps. Usually 6 guys packing dope and one packing food and roughly about 300 pounds of dope per run. There were 5 or 6 fresh stacks of burlap here, so roughly in the last 3 weeks or less the bad guys have smuggled out 1500 to 1800 pounds plus just from this one spot. This is considered pretty smalltime stuff, but it’s the most common form of drug smuggling in my AOR.

In our AO I can only remember about 4 times since 99 that they have been armed, so we are lucky in that respect.

Thanks for the suggestion, but as a sworn federal agent with arrest authority in the entire U.S. I should have to call someone else to do my fucking job. Rest assured something is being done just not as fast as I think it should go.
