I have a combined total of 50 plus years, being supportive of war time service members - in my family alone. I think I can decided who deserves respect and who doesn't.

While the sacrifices and services of your collective family are respected and appreciated, they DO NOT give you carte blanche authority to shit in our living room. We do not coddle. We do not candy coat. And that was not an ass chewing.

It would behoove you to drop the sarcasm and re-read the FAQs before digging your whole deeper.

It takes a big man to give that kind of ass-chewing to a Mom. Just lost all respect for that Ranger.

Sorry to hear your son didn't make it through this time around. Things happen for a reason. I'm sure the next few weeks are going to be pretty tough for him.

Good luck to both of you.

Sorry, your his Mother, rest of what I said still applies.
He won't be given another chance to go to Ranger School, he will have to earn that privilege. There are many who want that slot, and nothing is free.

Well, I thought Diski was his father.
No wonder the humor was completely fucking lost.
Hey girls, do us a favor please.
See to it that new Ranger parents state their gender a bit more clearly.
This politically correct dick-dancing is starting become a pain in the ass.
Since 90% of new posters are male on this board unless you state otherwise it's assumed that bawdy barrack humor can be taken in the spirit that it's given.
Don't you have some sort of checks and balances for this shit?

I had no idea this poster was female.
Of course I wouldn't invite a mother to take her son trolling for hookers.

I'd have asked her to hook him up with one of her hot MILF friends for Christs' sake!

But I digress, there's a chick forum for a reason and also a parents forum.
Why can't you wave pom-poms and have an Oprah hour in there?
We (ok, I) tend to assume that posters on a Ranger site can take it on the chin. If Diski was indeed the young mans' father this thread would have taken an entirely different texture.

Instead, we have indignant matrons throwing down their knitting and wagging fingers and alluding to poor up-bringing whilst throwing about their fucking pedigree.
It's a fucked up state of affairs when a bloke can't hurl the odd insult without breaking somebodys' Sunday china.
Fuck, I should be having my cage slammed shut after the usual kick and pummel when I get out of line, instead I'm being sent to stand in the fucking corner by an irate Womens Auxillary!

What sort of way is that to treat a Heathen?

Fucking curtain hangers.

Can't even pull up some debris and get comfy 'round 'ere any more, the fucking place has been tidied up!

I'm sorry about the misunderstanding Diski, I'll make it up to you.

Send the lad my way....I'll spring for the hooker.

Now, coming from the KH, THAT's a real apology!

Someone up a few posts asked who to respect on this site; that's easy: Rangers.
And we do respect our parents - when we know who they are

We seen many parents come here who've had a lot of smoke blown up their butt by their boys, so apologies if we come off too strong for the Dept of Social Services, if there's any sugercoating done here, it's likely to be me & not my Gaelic cuz who'll offer it.

Diski, your boy will have to earn his way back, & it'll be even harder since he serves with men who've been coming and going to the wars nonstop since yours was just entering high school - they can't afford any weakness. That his battalion is allowing him a shot at earning another slot (thereby bumping someone who could've gone had he succeded this time) speaks well for him - either that or they're really short of bodies to deploy, & they'd rather deploy short than with weak sisters.
If he sticks with it despite what's he's experiencing right now, he'll blow through RS the next time around & retain a lot more. You'll be all the prouder of a son with a tab and his CIB/CAB.
But just to reiterate, his lack of combat experience isn't what failed him, he simply didn't learn it fast enough.
If he quits, disown him.

I got smething for their curtains KH-collectivelly even...

I also don't quite get why you would apoligize though, I thought one of those crusty, nasty, funky Columbus whores would toughen the boy up a bit... A great navigational aid (Warts almost can be a sand table topo for reference points. Track marks and other scarring can be trails and roads.

See, only a Columbus whore could pull this off....

I fail to see what, if anything, Heathen said that was so wrong. This is Army RANGER.com and it is a mere courtesy that parents, deps, sisters, and girlfriends are allowed to be here. You were not invited however, you were treated well, with respect, and told the truth. You may not like the truth and you may not like the answers you get however, you do have the option of not being here.

Do NOT expect these men to kiss your ass and sugarcoat answers. This is not some politically correct blog where we comfort failure. You may get an understanding nod, but do not expect it.

Rangers well said!
Parents, don’t forgot where you are, I saw way to many Rangers that were not addressed as such. If you cant follow the rules of the site hit the road.

There is no requirement for the Kilted one to say anything by way of apology. Completion of the Ranger course is an individual achievement. If someone fails to graduate, it is his doing (or undoing). Medical turnbacks happen, that too is a personal issue. Let's just knock off this foolishness, now, parents. Your son will have enough issues by returning to his unit without his tab. He has to live with it every day -- and perhaps one day he will have another chance to go through the course. Whatever happens, it will be his action -- not yours!! So please STFU!
