INTRO

Post by AspiringSoldier »

I enlisted on 20051020, I would have enlisted sooner but I live with my aunt and uncle. They only had temporary custoday of me untill I was 18. so i had to get my mother to sign it, she refused, and refused, and refused. I persisted every day. She finally budged, in realizing that this is what I wanted to do. I was the little kid who used to play in camo, and toy guns. I always wanted to be in the army since i was young. I know thats not all it takes but I want it more then anything I have ever wanted. I enlisted as an 11x Infatry recruit with an Option 40; an US Army Airborne Ranger. I am set to leave 20060726. What i would like to do is push myself probobly harder than anything i hvae ever done, or ever will. I am hoping to in the near future to maybe at leas replace one soldier who has been there for 2 or 3 tours so that they may go see thier family. I wish I could go to OSUT now, I know that when i get there I prolly be like "Ohh what am i doing here", as thats what the RANGERS said at MEPS. I am hoping i can make a career out of the military, and possible make it to at least a SFC. Thank you for Reading my introduction

Pretty well laid out plan. Now, this isnt English class but learn how to write because writing is communication and communication is key to any warrior. Learn it correctly. Your not an idiot, don't write like one.
Drive on.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

Please allow me to echo the Pastor and at the same time point out that you have a fair amount of time to get yourself into good physical shape. Right about now one of the DEPs should be contacting you in a PM. This is an opportunity to prepare yourself for a great adventure. Don't waste it!
