Four jumps down, one to go. I can't even explain what I was feeling before and during my first jump. I was shaking as I stood in the stick waiting for the green light. There was such a mixture of fear and excitment that I wasn't sure whether to smile or piss my pants. I passed off my static line and just jumped out and the next thing I knew I was jerked back by the opening shock. I don't think I counted, it was more along the lines of "Fuck I hope my chute opens!" and the next thing I knew I was drifting down with a fully inflated canopy overhead.

We did two jumps yesterday, two today, and have one tomorrow because we graduate on Thursday due to the Columbus Day 3 day weekend. Today the first jump was our first combat load jump and it sucked. Just sitting around with all that shit on waiting to be JMPI'd sucks, but thats not news to any of you. The jump went well and I didn't hit my head too hard, but the Hollywood jump we did later in the day made me appreciate just how much more fun it is to jump without a ruck and weapon hanging below me.

Thanks for all of the advice and encouragement throughout my journey, I'm looking forward to the challenges that are ahead of me.

Jump 5 went fine and I get my wings pinned on tomorrow morning. I have not clue when RIP will start but I'm looking forward to the challenge.
