1/75 Old Scroll Guy Checking In

Post by spanky »

Hello all. I was an old scroll guy back in 1980-82. Served as A Co. 1/75 FIST Chief and HHC XO. That was the good old days with CSM Shalavin, SFC (now CSM) Purdy, 1SG Fox and others. Always wanted to get back to the battalion, but my career choice as an artillery guy didn't make it possible. Best assignment I ever had in 14 years active duty and 6 inactive. Second best was as the POW Camp Commandant at SERE school at JFKSWC. Currently a fat-ass civilian and have been working on command and control software for the Army since 1992 in sunny San Diego. Surfs Up.

Welcome Sir. Be sure to hit the Blarney Stone. Not the one in the Gaslamp District but the one off Balboa Blvd and inland about 2 miles. Closest thing to an actual Irish Pub you will see without being in Boston or Ireland.
