Veteran and brother of Ranger

Post by 5k »

Let me try this again. I tried to post this yesterday however I am technology challenged.

I served for four years many moons ago in the infantry. Considered doing the Bear program and going special ops but decided to get my degree instead. After many years of sitting in the rocking chair and thinking, "What if?" I decided to join the ARNG last March. I have secured a reservation to attend the October 18th SFAS.

As stated in the topic, my brother served proudly with both 3rd Batt and Regimental Headquarters with Ranger Recon. He is the hardest person I have ever met. Last summer he tore his bicep while training. He continue to work out and ended up taking second place in a national, natural bodybuilding competition. I am sure many of you would know him. He was in from 1985 through 1989. I recognize some names from when he served including a RIP instructor that went on to become the Chaplain of 2nd Batt.

I have the utmost respect for all that you have done and continue to do.

I will go back to lurking and trying to learn anything that will help me with my upcoming school. Thank you for a great site.
