Do not lose all your motivation now and sink into a hole. With the mindset you have started to develop a while back, you have some of the right tools to take on new challenges.
Ranger Steadfast, I never mentioned I had Asthma on this forum, however, I did mention it to my recruiter (yes, I am very aware of this condition), but he really didn't seem to care, and neither did I.
I had no doubt that Rangers could run circles around OSUT Privates, but I figured with the correct dosage of, "Suck it up and run," I could build some kind of lung tolerance. It was desperate hope rather than any sort of medical know-how. It obviously didn't pay off to not go to a doctor.
I got home Sunday morning, I finished my first shift of my new job 5 hours ago. I've got a good foundation on which to plan my life, but I'm not going to get too comfortable behind the desk.
I'm certain there's no chance in bloody-livid hell that I'm going to be allowed another RIP contract (it's not going to stop me from trying), but that's for when I'm physically ready and I have proper medical aid. If they still won't give me a shot, I want to fly Black Hawks or AH-6s.
For now it's college time, getting some real-life experience before I re-enlist.
Thank you, Rangers, for the encouragement (Ranger Silverback, I'm proud to be a cunt that tried than to be a cunt that has no physical defects and sits on his ass), and in one way or another, I'm going to give back to this Nation. If the Army (for some God awful reason) doesn't take me, I'll apply at the Police Academy, and if they're not going to take me, I'll join the Air Force. There are enough places to apply in that list that there isn't a chance in hell I'm not going to make it somewhere.
Good day and be safe to everyone here.

I just want to do what I can for my country, with the best that I can.
Youngster I had allergy problems that would pop up and act like I was having asthma related symptoms but with training and some meds I was able to over come a lot of the running problems.
If you want something bad enough you have to train hard for it, You can condition your self to over come this.
