Lay off of chucklehead, he seems squared away, weidert, your ass in Bn yet I think not so shut the fuck up and beat your face. You deppers need to help the newbies out not berate them, your not some tabbed out
spec-4 yet. Chuckle's I would consider an option 40 over 18x. If you get it your choices as to what 18 series you get is limited. It would be better to have a tab and 3 yrs in Bn before going off to SFAS. Ask Spartan about that. welcome Aboard.
The Tool, RLTW!!!
Spartan lets see chuckle's full avatar, I like some of that vintage shit, lets you use your imagination.

Thanks for the advice Ranger Tool. Do I have a better chance of getting my chosen MOS if I have already been in the Army as opposed to enlisting directly? I would greatly prefer 18B or 18C over 18D or 18E. Also, am I gauranteed a chance to go to SFAS after three years or is it tricky somehow? Thanks in advance for any help, Rangers.

NO

YES. Not tricky. Just apply for a transfer. Takes a little while for the paperwork to come around but you'll be accepted. SF loves Rangers.

Thanks in advance for any help, Rangers.

Fuck you very much.
