L.I.N.E. training is the Marine Corps version of hand-to-hand combat which is taught to all Marine Corps recruits.
L.I.N.E. training stands for "Linear Involuntary Neurological overide Engagement" which means once learned these movements become automatic reflexes in reaction to physical assaults.
That is all the info that I have on it. There are videos available on-line to buy. My hand to hand knowledge is limited to the 3 hour block given to Ranger students in the Benning Phase

Yes It's the same that the corps taught until "98" when they switched over to what they called block training. Now they teach a method which works in stages (belt colors/degrees) towards all the marines involved will be black belts in the end.
Anyway the same marine who created L.I.N.E. MSGT Donvito (spellcheck) now traines all s.f. candidates at the Q-course, or atleast certifies the H2H instructors that do. After he retired and started teaching his style outside the corps they shit canned him, so I've been told by other L.I.N.E. and BLOCK certified inst.. Yes I certified in 1998 at S.O.I. under SSgt Mulnix and Cpl. Whitehead. Awesome course but not L.I.N.E. by any standards , you know "non-lethal shit"..

Yeah it was a few pages back on the calender. I'm trying to read every possible bit I acn and post where I might be able to help. By the way if anyone is interested in participating in some of his training I believe he has a school. At least he had one in J-ville,nc . I'll do some searching and see what i can find.

Answer to What is LINE
I'll give you the straight up answers
Linear Infighting Neurological Engagement System. LINES
Created when MR (MSG) Ret Donvito created system when he was 17 ultimately adopted by Marine Corps as Sole Close Combat system for 9yrs. He was creator of Leather Neck Square. Trained over 500 thousand Marines of all ranks.
System was stopped by Marine Corps after recruit died conducting striking excercise NOT LINES.
The Marine Corps Martial Arts Program is something totally different than LINES
Came to Fayettevile in 1998 Trained students in all areas of SWSC, SERE SFARTC, CA PYSOPS, Phase IV.
Currently all Basic entry level SF students are trained and certified in LINES.
Has Trained soldiers from all units on Fort Bragg both SPECOPS and conventional.
Currently trains units from ARSOF, USASOCOM, USASOC, and FORSCOM
Quarterly goes to CGSC to conduct classes.
LINES is Diometrically opposed to Army Combatives, the LINE system is based off of operatant condition to acheive desired result which is the killing of an enemy combatant NOT submitting someone. It is designed to stay on the feet, instead of going to the ground. Blunt trama kills much quicker than choking. Better to train mind and body to react and power down than try to raise level of violence after encounter.
Classes are availible at any time and instructors will come to you to train.
