Damn - I don't think I would know todays Army per the training of the basic soldier. I went thru AIT at Gordon in late 65. We had to take down the fence around our barracks - was the old Brig area. Concrete block buildings with pot bellied stoves for heat - shit houses out back - showers in the same bldg. DIs made us pull a 119 to the open area behind the barracks so we could clean it up. Don't know if that dame thing is still there or not but I sure as hell did not like it - ended up jumping the damn things at JS though.
