Introduction

Post by BRADP3 »

My name is Brad. I'm 17. Hopefully I'll be leaving for basic within the next couple of months. My parents have agreed to early enlistment. Long story short, always wanted to be in the military, got expelled from HS my junior year, would be a senior this year, got my GED, got 86 on ASVAB, and now I'm here.....waiting. Planning on going 11 Bravo. My recruiter says he actually may be able to get airborne on my contract and that I should request RIP at Airborne. I came here throught the suggestion of Former Ranger/member Fireguy.

Welcome to the site.

Now....STOP!!! You wanna be a Ranger? Then there's some things you need to do first. You have a snowball chance in hell of getting to be a Ranger by taking that Recruiters advice.

Do some research and get an understanding of the process and the requirements. Then go the proper forum and ask yer questions. You need help and this is where to get it.

Welcome. Thank you for wanting to serve. we need more young men like you. You've got some work to do if you want to get all you want. Study on your own, listen to the Rangers and DEPS and they will get you going. The rest is up to you. Now be quiet and good luck!

Ranger Bell, he's got a GED.

They are given GED holders Airborne right now, but no way in hell he's getting an option 40 unless he shits 15 college credits before he goes to MEPS.

Yes!!! You should get those college credits. It doesn't take that long.

If you wanna be a Ranger you'll do this. Otherwise you'll just be a soldier wishing you had tried.
