Howdy People!
My name is Frank and I am in Northern California. I spent 8 years inthe Navy 4 as Aircrew with S.E.R.E 4 as Navy Police I got out and spent the next 8 as a cop in Northern California. I am 37 and realized that I need a challenge so I started talking to a recruiter and hey I can rejoin! So I have been busting my ass went from 245 to 215 in three months do 3 miles in 25 minutes and 1 in 7 min. got the situps and pushups down whats killing me is the damn pull ups, been doing row machines and other crap to get the pull up muscles into shape. This is probly nothing for you guys, but after several thousand donuts and a few hunderd kegs of beer let me tell you thats pretty good. I am using the intitial ranger PFT as my goal. Two weeks I go to MEPs will see what happens. I know 37 is pretty old for this stuff, but you know what they say it's all about heart. I look forward to hearing from some of you guys or any recommendations you have.

Quick questions?
Hey when you go to Ranger school and you are over 35 can you get a waiver to take afternoon naps for an hour or so?

Re: Cool.
Frank...ya need to read some of those FAQ's. I ain't busting on ya but this board does have some rules. We try to set up a training atmosphere for the new guys and DEPs.Frank wrote:Thanks Bell appreciate it, yeah it will be interesting. All I need is a chance and it's up to me to make that chance happen. The only thing that can interfere with going to mep's is getting a PSD contract in the next two weeks, which could happen. Thanks again.
"Ranger" Bell is how it should be said. Every Ranger on this board is addressed that way.

Pardon me but that is Ranger Bell to you. I think you would be better off if you read the FAQ's: http://www.armyranger.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1842Frank wrote:Thanks Bell appreciate it, yeah it will be interesting. Any questions you have about Ranger school Frank, you can use the "search button" located just slightly to your upper left below the banner heading. Use it as many topic's of Ranger school have already been asked.

Re: Cool
Only on the board Frank. It's not to pat us on the back. It's the name we earned when we did our part. It's to show the DEPs respect. It shows respect to those that earned that TAB.Frank wrote:Ok "Ranger" Bell and "Ranger" Steadfast I understand the rules but whats the point behind this, do you guys call each other Ranger Pete or what ever at work. Not being a smart ass just don't know.
