What about Cross Canadian Ragweed?

I don't care for their music personally, but I know a lot of people do.

Listening to them right now (Soul Gravy)

For those who like Texas country/rock try Randy Rogers Band, pretty decent.

I grew up with 3 of the original Great Divide members. (The lead singer went solo and they replaced him a few years ago.) I listen to all Red Dirt music, including CCR. I enjoy them quite a bit. As far as the Great Divide's songs go, Alive and Well is my thing. ;),

CD player?

iPod, baby.

The Distillers, an historical little rockabilly band from LA named "X," Hüsker Dü, The Kinks, Lennie Kravitz, Hole, some minimal Foo Fighters, a bit of The Donnas, some Rare Earth, and some from The Association.

When I need to change things up, I throw down with some George Clinton and The Parliament Funkadelic.

I have to do it. My GF is a singer, and she likes these wretched Thai country songs.

....the Blasters?

been a long time. Not sure.

I will check Shareaza and Limewire and see if I can sample some to job my memory.

I was very much in a rut, musically....bored, frankly, like I was back when Nirvana rejuvenated music, all of it, back in 1990....and a friend recommended that I check out The Distillers.

Holy shit, they are good. Not quite as good as X, but the lead singer definitely reminds the discerning listener of Exene Czervenka, except that she is hot. Exene...was just foul.

The main thing that The Distillers lack that X had in spades: Billy Zoom.
