Hello,

My name is Val. I am 17 and recent high school graduate (I graduated early). I have been in DEP since last August , secured my Option 40, and I am waiting to ship 21 JUL 05. I have been reading this site religiously for the last six months but haven't posted because I believe that reading other's post and using the SEARCH button to do my own research is much more beneficial than asking stupid questions. I would like to thank everyone who has served in the armed forces and to everyone who makes this site possible.

I'm looking foward to defending the greatest country in the world.

Welcome, young man. Thanks for stepping up to serve the nation. Do your best! You won't regret it.

Welcome Val. Looks like your heading in the right direction already. Keep it up, and good luck.

How in the hell does somebody get promoted to E-3 and hasn't even served one day in the Army yet (but hasn't completed college)? Times are truly changing.

Val, good job in "revamping" your intro, Run your ass off, do pushups when you don't feel like it, situps in the morning and at night. You do that and you'll be fine or at least a step ahead of some others when you report to Benning.

Good luck to you, welcome to our site and thank you in your decision to serve our Country.

ValMan it’s good to see that you posted that intro again with the correction. A good thing is never to leave something unfinished. Drive on. Oh and do more push-ups. Push till you reach muscle failure.
