New dep checking in. I have been reading the threads hear for a while and all the first hand accounts have been very helpful in answering my questions. I am a Dep with a 11x airborne contract, currently in pursuit of the opt. 40. As of now I ship out April 15th but if I acquire the opt. 40 my recruiter says it is subject to change. I am 20 years of age 5'10 and 170 lbs. I engage in a number of extreme sports but primarily rock climbing and mountaineering. Screwed around for a couple years after highschool but now I’m ready to go all the way and become a Ranger, one way or another. I’m aware of a deps position on this forum and I will not overstep my boundaries. Like to say thanks again for all the info and the no Bullshit attitude.

I have climb alomost every crag in north Idaho and have made a number of trips to Canada and Santa Barbra-Joshua Tree in the winter.
As far as grades go I've sported a handful of 5-12 leads 30 to 50 foot. They are at a local crag in Post Falls, I work the shit out of them bitches til I get em done. Traditional climbing, I've attempted two 5-11s but both of them I had to traverse off to an alternate (easier) route to get her done. Usaully I stick to the 10s and 9s in trad I enjoy the climb more and can go big, 300 ft. PLUS. That is the good stuff.
CLIMB ON !!!!!!!!!!
