Introduction

Post by Juliet Foxtrot Mike 7082 »

My name is Josh, I am a Senior student- athlete in college and I am interested in a future in the military upon graduation in May 2006 I will be graduating with a bachelor's in Criminal Justice. My connections to the military are my uncle who was in the army and served in Vietnam and a very good friend of mine who is serving in Iraq with the Air Force. I respect the sacrifices of all military personnel and the sacrifices thier families make as well. The Rangers have always intrigued me and I hope to use this board to learn from experiences that others on this board have been through.

Thank You Very Much For Your Time, jfm7082

OK, JFM...good enough intro for starters, now lets knock off the formal crap. Give me a sitrep on definitive plans you have, what you are GOING to do and how you are going to get there? I got that "interested" thing but this isnt a car dealership. I would have to say a young man who is about to graduate college should have an idea of what he REALLY wants to do, YES? Lay it out. No stupid crap. You going in or not?

Yes, I am going to join the army and work towards my goal of becoming a Ranger. I have also studied the possibility of going to OCS as well. I know graduation from college is right around the corner and I am uncertain about how I should go about the recruitment process ( do it before or after I graduate). I know a prospective future as a Ranger and a Officer would be very challenging both mentally and physically and I am excited for the oppertunity to see if I have what it takes. I truely believe the mind is stronger than the body and I am very much up to the challenge.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and give you a heads up.

You either WANT it or you DON'T. No middle ground.

Good luck with your decision, welcome.
