Anyone see Precinct 13 yet? It sounds good to me, but I don't want to end up watching crap when there's better stuff out... :?

Most of you have listed my favorites, so I'll list a few that are in a special collection of mine. These movies are strange, depressing, and generally sickening.

Gummo
Julien Donky Boy
Butcher Boy
Falling Down

Most of you will probably hate these movies, but watch them anyway. It's like being mentally ill for a few hours.

John Leguizomo dies in it. Can it get any better?

I saw Phantom of the Opera last weekend. Being a person who LOATHES musicals, the cinematography and editing was outstanding in this movie along with some of the scores and singing made it bareable.

Another good movie with some realistic action: Proof of Life

Interesting movie, makes me wonder if many ex-soldiers really do that job for a living.

I watched Breaker Morant last night. Its about 3 Aussie officers in the Bushveld Carbineers taking the fight to the Boer Commandos in the Transvaal in South Africa during the Boer War.

They were being tried for murdering prisoners, and were basically scapegoats so the British Army could demonstrate "impartial justice" to the Boers and there were other polticial ramifications between England and Germany that come into play.

Here is a link to the historical facts behind the movie.

Very good flick.

I just saw Million Dollar Baby with my girlfriend and it was a good movie. It is a boxing drama, but the fights are pretty cool and a good story line. I recommend it. We get the boxing, the wives/Girlfriends get the story and all is good.

I can second that; Million Dollar Baby was really good.

The theme is being willing to suffer to get what you want.

The whole movie is basically Eastwood, Freeman, and Swank, and they all give great performances.

I got the live CD and hetfield can no longer sing with any sack, must be hard to have teenage angst when you’re an old rich alcoholic. Then I hear him say "we love you paris" fuck him, fuck the french, if my windows still worked I would have tossed the CD out on the road, I think I am going to use it for a 300 wm target.

The Judas Priest live in London is a bad CD though, and now back to movies the uncut international version of the professional aint to bad except for the director

Just got around to watching Napoleon Dynamite. Heard my friends talkin about it and I waited with baited breath for the humor (or plot for that matter) to come. What a fuckin waste.
