"SAS: Are you tough enough" reality TV show

Post by FireFinder »

Has anyone seen this show on OLN or a different network? I'll watch nearly anything military-related. This one is kind of funny, bunch of whiny civilians getting hammered on by former-SAS guys. Way different than the Combat Missions show that was on USA Network several years ago.

Its mildly entertaining (humorous), just hard as fuck to decipher what the hell is being said. The stuff on right now is in the desert, and is probably a couple of years old, as I understand the show is cancelled (BBC).

I saw it on OLN as well. I didn't really understand why people would pay someone to make them walk through the desert. From what I understand each of the civillians is an "athlete" of some kind and they're trying to prove that their sport made them tough enough to be SAS.

I have seen the series where they were in Scotland. This was 2-3 years ago. A "Are You Tough Enough" Jungle series came out after that. I have not seen the desrt one...The series in Scotland seemed pretty intense. The group was put through a SERE class which lasted for several days. They had to travel over 10-20? miles of open/barren scottish moors while evading capture. Once captured they were blindfolded, taken to a shed and interrogated. These so-called atheletes were breaking under pressure pretty fast! The ones that survived SERE where given assault gear and MP5's and did a water/zodiac insertion into a "hotile area" where the enemy was holding sensitive info which they had to obtain. Several groups did the operation, and then were graded on their stealth/CQC/command skills. I thought it was pretty good. I still might buy the DVD. The SAS instructor was a rough/sadistic MOFO, but I liked his methods. Anyone please feel me in on the desert series if you can...

All I know is I can't understand a Goddamn word Eddie, or Staff , or whatever the fook that buggers name is, says. I spend half the show asking my wife "what the fuck did he just say?".
