Introduction
My name is George and I have recently graduated from law school and passed the CO bar exam. I am in the process of applying to the JAG Corps, but want to educate myself on all of my options as much as possible. My father was a Ranger who served in Vietnam. He made it clear that being a Ranger was the most honorable and difficult accomplishment there was in life. At a very early age I knew that Ranger School was nothing short of sacred and I am joining this site to get advice from Rangers as I contemplate how I am going to serve my country.
Regards,
George

Welcome to the site George. First off, it sounds like you have dedicated your life knowing and working in the judicial system. I can appreciate what your father has told you. However, Im not sure why after 4 yrs of hard work in law school why you are now contemplating a totally new and different way of thinking, living and being. Rangers and the way we live, think work, breath and everything else is very different from just about everything you have been doing. I appreciate your thoughts and contemplation but pls remember there is a big difference between sitting behind a desk advising some poor bastard of his rights or laying prone in the mud at night in the rain for hours waiting for a signal to unleash death upon the enemy.
Good luck with whatever you do.

Welcome Esquire...quite a leap from Lawyer to Ranger. But, stranger things have happened. Had a Ranger bud who was a Gynocologist in his former life.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

I always thought the two kinda went together.....most of us practiced gynecological procedures on the weekends

Welcome....you know that you're gonna be everyone's friend right? Rangers seem to need lawyers more than any other group I know.....
