Ranger Jim,
No Ranger here ... yet. Doc Delaney, will do. I've been there more than once, that's good shit right there!

Re-Intro
Eight years later ... It's been almost eight years since I posted here so I figured a reintroduction is appropriate. Graduated OSUT and went to Ft. Lewis for about seven years. Did some good shit on a couple depolyments as a Team Leader, Squad Leader and Recon Team Leader. All that time and still no...

Apologies
My apologies to Rangers Steadfast and Bell for not providing much info, I have a slow inbternet connection and get frustrated easily. No, I did not get an Airborne slot and no RIP slot. Instead it's off to beatiful Ft. Lewis and the 2nd Infantry Division for me. In fact, about 80 percent of the enti...

Graduated
Just graduated last week from OSUT and thought I'd check in. It was way easier than I thought it would be, but I still felt challenged in some weirtd way. Overall it was cool. I was disappointed that they offered very few Ranger slots. Two in my platoon, 6 or 7 in the company. If any DEPpers have an...

Update
Quick update: It has been about two months and I am happy to report that my waiver got approved last week and I will sign tomorrow (Thursday). I got all 1's on my profile and did decent enough on the ASVAB (91, 126{?} GT), so hopefully tomorrow I can report back with an 11X and Airborne contract. Th...

Ranger Spartan, You bring up a good point. I have not experienced any discomfort on the bone or metal plate in the two years since the surgery, even though it has been subjected to cold temps for days on end (on snowy hunting trips). Still, I do not know how it would react to the extreme stress duri...

Once I'm in, is there any way I can make it to Ranger school?

Metal plate waiver?
SFC Hit_It or anyone else who knows: I have been meeting with my recruiter and was scheduled for MEPS on April 9, but there was a problem. See, I broke my hand a couple years ago and had to have surgery. We are currently waiting on my waiver to process. I searched the forum and couldn't find anythin...
