Listen up DEPs, there is no fucking excuse for failing the PT test at any school. All you guys going through the pipeline have to meet the 60% standard to complete OSUT, so why would you fail to meet the exact same standard when you get to Airborne. As if the 14 fucking weeks of OSUT weren't enough...

BTW, there's no rank on your collar? What's up with that? or was that picture taken straight outa' RIP? Ranger Hoover, that pictur...

Rangers and other distinguished users, I'm in week 4 now and its a short week because of the holiday on Friday. We did some basic shooting today, will do more advanced stuff tomorrow and Wednesday and then graduate on Thursday. Last week was the hardest week of PT for us. We ran 6 times in 5 days, t...

Just finished week 2. Holy shit, what a fucking week. I had to redo the 12 mile road march the day before we left for Cole Range. Then Cole Range was 48 hours of suck, nothing but cold, wet, suck. We're down to 29 left in the class. 8 voluntary withdraws all withing about 24 hours of each other at C...

Week 1 down, 3 more to go. Not much to say other than everything I read here has helped. No way I'm quitting. 81 took the PT test, 54 started in my class, 39 remain after week 1. Believe it or not, two guys got kicked out on Tuesday for having crack and a crack pipe in their posession. Thank God I w...

Feet, Ass, Head
Four jumps down, one to go. I can't even explain what I was feeling before and during my first jump. I was shaking as I stood in the stick waiting for the green light. There was such a mixture of fear and excitment that I wasn't sure whether to smile or piss my pants. I passed off my static line and...

Airborne School (RANGER)
I just finished ground week here at Airborne School and I'm excited as hell about tower week and jump week. The PT test was easy for me but I was nervous as hell before I started because about half the guys in my line failed the pushups before it was my turn. I got up there and made sure I had my he...

Hello Hello Infantry (RANGER)
I graduate from OSUT tomorrow, had our turning blue ceremony today. It feels great to now be an infantryman but I know that this is only one step in the journey. It looks like I'll have a few weeks in airborne hold before I get to start the school. I'll use the time to do PT and get healthy. Me and ...
