Re: Sitrep
Rangers, Been several months since my last update, but I am happy to say that I have commissioned in the US Army! I am very excited to have completed my degree in something not so interesting and very ready to start my career in the Army. I will be attending Ordnance BOLC July to November. I am curr...

Re: Sitrep
Thank you Ranger Silverback. I believe it was redone as a method to try to ensure that all Cadets receive their first 3 branch choices and to give individual school PMSs some increased control of a Cadet's accession score. However I have heard of several cases of this not happening among other issue...

Re: Sitrep
Ranger Jim, Interesting you said most will be branch transfers. I've always heard that transferring into Infantry as an officer is nigh on impossible. If you can elaborate on that a little more it would be very much appreciative. I have heard that pre-OBC, 1 for 1 branch swaps are possible so I am l...

Re: Sitrep
Rangers, Update: I have been branched Active Duty Ordnance. Obviously its a far cry from my main hope of getting Infantry but I guess its not to be. I am thankful that I was branched active duty as that was my main goal above anything else. Now my main goal is just to be the best damn Ordnance Offic...

Re: Sitrep
Rangers, Sorry for not replying sooner. I am currently at my Cadet Internship where I am able to shadow a 2LT for 4 weeks. I have all but taken over as Executive Officer for a Battery. Challenging, but a great opportunity nonetheless as it shows me the life of an officer in the garrison enviroment. ...

Rangers, I have less than one year till earning my Commission into the US Army. I have completed the ROTC Advanced Course and I believe I have matured greatly in the last year, both personally, mentally, and professionally as a future officer. I have had great opportunities to learn under all great,...

Ranger Zone IV, It is an excuse but I find how I spent the the last school year as worth it because I now have a GPA that puts me in the running for Active Duty. I am very aware that I can improve my time management skills since I have to balance MS3 year responsibilities, grades, and fitness next y...

Aloha Rangers, I am about one week away from completing my CULP deployment trip and wanted to take a chance out of my free time to post an update. As this trip was my first time out of the United States, this have been a humbling experience for me. When I return to the States, I will have a much hig...

Re: Sitrep
Ranger Jim, I have certainly learned a lot. Not only from this site but from the people around me. If there is one thing that I can definitely say I have learned from this site is to not expect anything. No one is going to come around and offer a world to me where I get everything I want. This may n...

Rangers, Haven't posted in a long time. I am currently halfway through my MS2 year of ROTC and in my sophomore year of college. I was also rewarded a slot for a Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency (CULP) program this summer. I wont say where I am going but this is definitely a big boost ...

I have completed one year of Army ROTC and and that much closer to entering Active Duty service as a Second Lieutenant. Other good news is that I only have one more General Education class to take, so I can finally start concentrating on classes I actually want to take! I am learning more and more e...

Re: Going to RASP 2
Ranger Rakka187,
I don't have any advice because I am much to green to give any advice at all. I am actually wondering how long it took you get the go ahead to go to RASP?
Going to RASP 2 will the path I am taking in the years down the road so naturally I am interested.
