Re: 1000 pushup club
Well Rangers, I'm late, but I did it. 1007 pushups in 4 hours, 13 minutes, and 57 seconds. Got cuaght up with midterms and an FTX, but truthfully I had time in between the two to throw this on top of PT and my personal workout. Instead I decided to do pussy shit, like sleep. Awaiting the smoke for l...

Re: SMA comments
So the Army is betting us hopefulls will fail at selection and fill the support slots? Negative. All assigned to Regiment have succeded at RASP/ROP. No one flops along the way & joins the 75th. There are no "lesser" roles. By assigning most of the Opt.40 openings to the less popular M...

Re: SMA comments
The option 40 is an incentive that the Army uses to get people to join, and to fill low density MOS's. That is why the support jobs always pop up with opt. 40's. Ranger Goon175, So the Army is betting us hopefulls will fail at selection and fill the support slots? Makes sense given the wash-out rate.

Rope Craft
Rangers,
Ranger Ingraham and I have been talking about teaching me some rope craft that might be helpful to know by heart down the pipeline. I realize alot is covered in the Ranger Handbook, but I was wondering if anyone knew of some extra knots that could come in handy.

Don't think I worded that right. In the past, when the Big Army raised it's standards has the Regiment followed suite? Or does it use its own measuring stick to decide who does and doesn't have what it takes to wear a scroll?

Do you see the draw down having an effect on the availability of OP40 contracts? If so, how fast would they be implemented.

Re: Random thought of the moment.
NSD- I'll send you a PM later this evening to stop the hijacking of a thread that's supposed to be random. But I will say this: there is a difference between what is wanted and what is needed. If it was needed, it would have been provided. If it wasn't provided, then it would be your duty and respo...

Theft is an honor violation, period. I believe you might recall that the Creed says something about endeavoring to uphold prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps; and also something about keeping ones self morally straight. There has to be a complete level of trust between soldiers, whether it re...

Re: Random thought of the moment.
Sounds like you are all a bunch of theiving peices of shit. Ranger Baseplate, I give it just as good as I get it. If I could trust every man in the company to stay out of my ruck then I would never break that trust, (hence why I never took anything from a man in my platoon). But when its common pla...

Re: Random thought of the moment.
Who the fuck steals mission essentail equipment from within their own platoon? I mean to hell with the integrity voilation, (if it was from another platoon in the company then I could understand the idea of it) but you're stealing from the guys that watch over you while you sleep. Thats just plain ...
