Re: US Embassy Closings
The reaction over Benghazi has made the gov't even more risk averse than it was. I am sorry that those folks in Benghazi died but they knew the risks of their job and where they were operating, I really wish people would make as big a deal out of an 18 year old e-1 being killed in Afg as they did a...

Re: Just a motivational Youtube Video
Did either of you guys live through the 70's? If we made it out of that decade with a spine we can make it out of this mess! But you are free to head to Canada whenever you feel like quitting. One of the things that let us survive the 70s was the American public. Reagan won in a landslide. Today a ...

Re: Cartels hiring US soldiers as assassins.
Mexican Revolution all over again. History repeating itself, though this time it isn't to fix a government, but to keep drugs flowing. Back in the early 1900s former American soldiers also went south to earn a profit.

Holder was, as usual, pandering to Obama's base. The "Stand your Ground" law has nothing to do with the Zimmerman case.

Re: Foreign Languages
Any foreign language is beneficial and will make you an asset to your unit.
If I had to pick a language I would pick Latin... not shit.
If you know Latin you can easily pick up French, Spanish, Italian and Portugese. They are all based in the "Romance" languages

Re: 19 firefighters killed battling fast-moving Ariz. wildfi
Unfortunately I am totally ignorant about the location. All I know about Arizona is climbing the mountains there when 3rd Battalion did an "assault climber course" outside of FT Huachuaca. For some reason I thought this was on the border. I am currently trapped (TRAPPED I TELL YOU!!) in FT...

Any idea if this might have been set by the Mexican drug dealer/army or an act of terrorism. Both are valid tactics with those twoBaseplate wrote:Thankfully as far as AZ is concerned the monsoons should start in the next week or so and that should kill off the fire danger until the fall.

I just re-read the Echo 51st guy's post...His team "Opted NOT to jump in due to the high risk", I guess they were pussies! Who would ever opt out of a combat jump because of high risk? That has got to be a new one. Every single one is high risk. Going into Grenada we rigged inflig...

Those in upstate Michigan probably thought the same way. You do not fight, you merely need to get a majority in the legislature.Flesh Thorn wrote:The good people of East Tennessee may not surrender so easily.
