I posted this topic so that the rangers and the DEPs wouldn't think that I was a piece of shit because I wasn't doing the assignments. But now I've made a better case for you all to think that I was a piece of shit. And I have been. I wanted to join the Army so that people would be proud of me. I wa...

Why I haven't been around
Hello Rangers and fellow DEPs, My name is Patrick. I joined this message board in September after talking with my recruiter. By using the search function and posting you all provided me with great answers to the many questions that I had. Later that month I went to MEPs and was temporarily disqualif...

I'm in!!!! The doc passed me on my tail and he gave me an airborne stamp. Then I went to pick my job. I told her that I wanted Rangers with Infantry. But the only Option 40 available was a cook or chemical operations specialist. So I told her I'd take 11x Opt. 40 or nothing. She said that I needed s...

I don't have to get the piece of skin removed. But I do need to get a letter from the surgeon. And he's taking his sweet time writing it. My recruiter also told me that I'd just have to wait and see if I can get an airborne stamp. I am faced with a dilemma. If I don't get the airborne stamp should I...

I went to the surgeon to get my cyst removed. But after he looked at it he determined that it was not a cyst, it is just a flap of skin. So I talked with my recruiter and he is going to ask the doctors at MEPS if I should get the thing removed or just leave it. He will also ask whether or not I can ...

Screw in Ankle ----- I MADE IT!!!
Three years ago I broke my ankle and it was repaired with a screw. The screw is not in the joint. It hasn't cause me any pain or lack of movement and the doctor said that I could have it taken out, if the military made me. Three weeks ago I went to MEPS and they didn't even see my medical records ab...

Percentages
I searched but could not find an answer for my question so I will ask it here.
What percentage of applicants make it through RIP?
I read that 35% make it through Ranger School. Is this correct?

Re: MEPS visit
I got to hit MEPS recently, got my 11x/OPT 40 contract and ship out Oct 27th When I got there they didn't have any more OPT 40 contracts, but he looked at my scores and called up someone and he plucked a contract off of next years allotment. If you don't mind me asking. What were your scores? Thank...

But I will return to MEPS on October 2 to complete my physical and hopefully will get 11x option 40. Thanks, ...
