i am an e-5 in the army and heading to ranger school in april of this year was just wondering about a program i seen on the internet for a workout before you get there it is on the ft benning web site so relying on it to get me prepared. but it is only a 5 week program from experiance of you guys that have been is 5 weeks enough time to get in the shape you need to be in I am in alright shape now but dont feel i am ready to head into ranger school and not struggle really bad have done the 12mile road march and the 5 mile run what other things should i be really worried about
DEPs
Here is a classic example of how not to come to Ranger School.
How many men do you think there are that deserve the slot this lucky bastard got?
Also, DEPs try and fucking remember that it takes twelve weeks to "get in shape".
Can it be done sooner?
Yes it can, but for the average individual it takes that long for the mind to convince the body that it needs to be taken seriously and then the body modifies itself to the realm of habit.
Anything less than twelve weeks and the body is actually waiting for your mind to come to it's senses and fuckin' get things back to normal.
I know that sounds silly but you should remember this.
