Finished up basic training on March 4th and currently at Airborne hold(we ship out on Friday), nothing much else to say other than I'm excited to start Airborne.
Congrats on becoming an infantryman! You'll enjoy Jump School. It's a kick! Try to stay in shape and stay out of trouble. Keep your knees to the breeze!

No shit Airborne School is fun from tower week and on to jump week.(jumpin outta those mock towers is like being on an amusement park ride). Pay attention to the Black Hats, and who knows you just might end up as an Honor Grad!
Instead of making another post, I thought I'd just continue on this one. I've been a holdover for a while but I finally got stuck with Bco and we're finishing up week one(tomorrow). Those short little runs(more like stomps) back and forth from the company area are what bother my legs the most(shin splints); I figured the PLFs would have done that but to my surprise they didn't hurt at all. I'm looking forward to see what the Black Hats have instore for next week.

Just graduated Airborne today. I love the prop blast of the C-130, that's the best part of the jump but overall the C-17 is a far better plane to jump from, in my 5 jump experience . I fucked up my knee pretty good on my 4th jump, there wasn't any wind so I just came down like a sack of rocks, and basically went feet to knee to shoulder in the matter of a second. I hope i'll be able to heal up somewhat before RIP but I don't know when they are picking the next class up on, so it's hard to say how much rest I'll be able to get, either way I'll just have to FIDO.
Congratulations, Airborne! Best of luck to you in RIP.
