Sitrep from Jester44 (RANGER)

Post by jester44 »

Hey Rangers, Soldiers, and others, I just wanted to post a quick update on my progress at BAC.

Made it through Ground Week no problem. At the end of the week, I think we'd lost somewhere around 130 people from the class for PT failures, disciplinary reasons, quitters, etc.

Tower Week was progressing fine until Wednesdaymorning when I was shuffling along on the way to PT and stepped in a nice pothole and tweaked my knee. I drove on, not letting anyone know what was up (or at least that's what I thought). One the way home from the SLTs, done with training for the day, a Black Hat pulled me out of the formation and told me that I needed to go to sick call the following morning. He saw what happened that morning and was watching me all day.

Long story short, I got pushed back a week in my training and will be starting Tower Week all over on Monday. At least I didn't get dropped from the course for medical reasons.

I'll report back later.

Thanks for the SITREP.

That Blackhat is doing his job and you should be thankful. Driving on with an injury can ruin your chances of doing anything worthwhile in the future.

Obviously they thought the injury was serious enough to profile you. Just a speedbump soldier. Drive on.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.
