RIP/Basic Training

Post by JSanta »

I was wondering if there is anything a person could do to get ready for RIP and Basic training? I know that there is a high washout rate for soldiers in RIP and that it is not for everyone. I run 5 miles twice a week with my recruiter and lift weights almost everyday.
Thanks ahead of time.

Pick yer running up. Increase it a lot. 3 to 5 miles every day is what yer looking for at 7 minute a mile pace. Faster if ya got it. They run every day and I never remember anything less than 3. Weekends off. Sometimes.

I'm speaking of RIP of course. Didn't mention Basics cause if that hurts ya then you're on a suicide mission.

Thanks. I'll make sure to try and run everyday. Should I also focus on running hills and rucking at all? I leave at the end of June and I want to be some-what prepated.
