Ayden, welcome to ArmyRanger.com.
I'm sure you can tell that this place is a ghosttown right now, but a few of us are lurking around. Tell us a bit more about yourself, why do you want to be a Ranger? Have you given yourself a PT test yet to see what your baseline scores are? Did you play team sports in highschool? Are you mentally tough?

Re: Introduction - Ayden
Ranger BlueLiner,
I have been interested in joining the military for 5 years now, but I was always looking around to see who did the type of things I want to do. After enough research I found the 75th & fell in love from there, everything about the Ranger lifestyle is appealing to me; I want that challenging, demanding, constant pursuit of something better lifestyle. The cool flashy TikTok edits brought me in but after hearing what life is like in Batt. made me stay the course.
My PT is alright, I’ve been specifically training for RASP for about a year now. Before that I was a competitive swimmer on my club & HS varsity team, right now my stats are:
- 16 chin ups
- 32:35 5 mile
- 57 hand release
- 2:25 12 mile ruck
Until I ship I will continue to train towards my goal. I’ve got a 20ft rope in my backyard that I got to get familiar with climbing. (boots too)
I consider myself mentally tough, not saying that I’ve been through anything really tough, but everything that has been in my way I’ve either: A. faced it and got it done or B. found a better way to do it. A most notable time would be learning to swim Freshman year then making Varsity sophomore after sometimes 3 a-day practices. Whenever I want something I always get extremely involved to the point of obsession and so far it has benefited me here as well.
I’ve got about 53 days till I ship and life is great! I’m always going through these chats and learn something new daily. When I ship I plan on creating a post in letters from school and continue posting SITREPs just for the other lurkers. Sometimes when I’m on here it says there’s hundreds of guests viewing the site. (I think it has something to do with people not being able to create an account because when it asks for an acronym at the bottom of signup there’s no place where to find it) I believe the acronym is “Rangers Lead The Way” or “RLTW” something along those lines!
Thank you for the response Ranger BlueLiner!
