Thank you Ranger Jim. I really didn't know much about Vietnamese Rangers or Ranger advisers until I did the task. I initially was going to put complete by the task after researching but I wanted to do a little more so people who might not have researched the topic could get a brief synopsis of how awesome the Vietnamese Rangers and Ranger advisers were.

SITREP:
I started the EMT course last Monday. Definitely more intense than I expected it to be. There are a lot of firefighters and people looking to get into Medical or Physician Assistant school taking the course. Although I will be getting the information again in AIT as the saying goes "Prior preparation prevents poor performance".
I'm graduating tomorrow and I've had family coming in all day and even last night. Unfortunately I haven't had time to administer a self PT test. I will post one as soon as I can.

Roger Ranger Jim. It's definitely good to be done with high school and it was good seeing some of my extended family. I'm doing a "GoRuck Tough" event with some of the F3 guys this Saturday which is basically a 12 hour smoke fest from what I understand. I'm trying to rest up for the event so I haven't done a PT test but I will conduct one next week if I'm not too sore to move.

Ranger Disinfertention the GoRuck event was this past Saturday and an active duty SF Master Sergeant named Chuy was the "cadre". You had to bring a ruck weighing 30 pounds not including water. It was a "custom event" which means it was open only to a certain group. In our case it was for F3(Faith, Fellowship, Fitness) which is a workout group who do mainly calisthenic workouts in the mornings. I thought it was going to be like SFAS and I would be smoked for 12 hours but it was built around around a scenario that you were part of an ODA disguised as a backpacking group and had to capture a WMD from the Cartel that North Korea gave them(that's the brief synopsis). We rucked 17+ miles carrying stretchers, water buckets, Jerry cans, coolers ect. Seven of those miles were up and down trials on Paris Mountain. Also we did some calisthenics in between. There were short periods of down time in between where the plot would continue or he would talk to us about what we were doing right or wrong. Overall it was a very difficult experience but I learned a lot.

SITREP:
I took the 1-1-1 at the which was administered by the recruiters this past Thursday which are the scores they are going to send to basic.
1 minute sit ups:42
1 minute push ups:41(I did 53 put the recruiter said he didn't count 12, I definitely need to work on my form)
1 mile run: 6:12
I'm learning a lot from the EMT class, I'm over half way done now. I was able to visit 1st Battalion two Saturdays ago for the A Co 1/75 reunion. I was invited by a former 1/75 A Co officer who is a friend of the family. It was surreal being there, almost as if I was visiting the Holy Land. I was very fortunate to be invited and it made me want to be a Ranger even more.
