intro
I'm the proud parent of an Army Ranger & served for 26 yrs, 6months, 19 days on active duty & reserves where I retired as a MSG. I was mostly involved in recruit instruction (not as a DS) & spent most of my reserve time in a 3 shop of one sort or another, S-3 & G-3. I hold MOS's in engineers, commo, & infantry & am airborne qualified but never served on airborne status in the Army but was with a "chairborne" unit, 84th Division (TNG).
My son is with the 3rd Batt, 75th Ranger Regt. & passed through RIP this past summer. I am particularly proud of him & all of you who have achieved the exalted staus of Airborne Ranger.
Now I'm going to surf this site & enjoy it.
Glenn

Other people were fine and you liked them and were good friends; but you only felt true tenderness and love for those who had been there and had received the castigation that everyone receives who goes there long enough." Ernest Hemingway

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.
