Introduction- Andrew

Post by apm240 »

Hello Rangers,
My name is Andrew, and I hope to become a Ranger. I am currently 17 years old and a senior in high school. I have decided to graduate in December this year so that I will be able to devote 100% of my time and effort to training for RASP. I have been working with a recruiter, but do not yet have my 11x Option 40 slot locked down, but when I do I intend to enlist at the earliest possible date. The reason I am on this site is because I saw all of the information available here and wanted to make the most of it. I also wanted to get another opinion about how I prepare for RASP. My father who was a Ranger (1st Bat 1984) has told me to forget the weightlifting and just run. To be honest I suck at running and really do need to focus on it in the next few months. But on the flip side I really love weightlifting and cannot see myself not doing it, I wanted to get a second opinion and/or a way to combine the two to have the best chance to become a Ranger.

Thank you

Welcome. First bit of advice is to learn paragraph separation so others will actually take the time to read your post.

As it stands a lot of people will look at one giant scrambled post and just keep going without even reading it.

Second, why in Gods name would you NOT take the advice of your father, a Ranger himself, and then come here and ask us for PT advice? Go beat your face.

Tell your father to come join the site. We'll work on you together to make the standard.

He has not been here since 25 August. I doubt he is serious.
