I was that Ranger. Send me a PM. Follow directions. There's a couple of threads on here that are important. The threads regarding PT in particular.

Last time. Stop calling me "Sir". You think it's a good habit and it is when dealing with civilians. When dealing with people in the military it's not. Proper forms of address are one of the first things you learn in the military.

Push-ups (in two minutes) 70
Sit-ups (in two minutes) 60
Pull-ups (dead hang) 10
Five mile run 49:52 minutes
Two (2) mile time?

Remember, the APFT has specific events in a specific order.

Research what those events are, what order they are supposed to be done in and how much rest between events. Hint: P/U's are last and 5 mile on a separate day.

Post answers on this thread. You have until 0900 03SEP2014.

Re: APFT or the Ranger PFT

SGR522018 wrote:I researched the APFT and it says that the three events are push-ups, then sit-ups with two minutes allotted for each to be completed. Ten to twenty minutes are allowed for rest between both and before the two mile run, which is after the sit-ups. The Ranger PFT is slightly different in events but other introduction posts have the pull-up scores in them and no five mile run. Do I do the push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, two mile run, and a five mile run the next day, or do I do the standard APFT?
PU, SU, 2 mile, Pull ups, next day or 2 days after 5 mile is not part of the APFT but if you do it that will give you a better assessment.

When you get a task and have the time to do research, DO THE RESEARCH. Don't make assumptions based upon what others have done before as to the "right" way to do it.

Your baseline is not bad. You have time to get those scores up.

Less time playing games (we did meet at PAX) more time working out. Reference the workout thread it will pay dividends.
