Introduction- Darryn

Post by labod »

Hello Rangers!

My Name is Darryn. I'm currently a freshman in college and about a month ago, I chose to enlist into the Army to go on to more exciting things! Currently, I have an 11X Contract with Option 40. I ship out on May 19th, 2014 (20140519). The reason I chose this contract is because I want to be a Ranger; I want to be the best of the best, and apart of an elite team and brotherhood! I joined this site in hopes that I can learn more about Rangers and their experiences with the steps in becoming a Ranger. I've been training hard since the beginning of January in hopes to max out the scores on the PFT. Knowing that most other future soldiers are asked, my current scores are as follows:

Push-ups: 82
Sit-ups: 73
2-mile run: 14:27 (This is my most recent timed 2-mile and clearly is a distance from 13:00; However, today while pushing my heart into every stride, I ran a mile at 6:12).
Pull-ups: 20

Knowing that I have a long ways to go in order to max my score, I train everyday and improve every week!

Thanks for taking the time to read, Rangers!

Roger that, Ranger Jim.

I forgot to add it in, but i'm currently 18 years old. And i'm from Michigan! My reasoning for wanting to be a Ranger is probably not as good as some others reasons. I want to be a Ranger strictly because I want to be an Elite Soldier! Where I respect all other Soldiers serving, it isn't in my personality to settle as a normal Soldier. I want to be the best I can possibly be in one of the best Units that the United States Army has to offer.

Change your avatar. You claim to be a member of the five mentees, but your avatar says otherwise.
