Never complain and never explain or aplogize. "Roger, Ranger Lefty," is adequate.

A decent response on your goal of becoming a Ranger.

Taking your PT scores at face value, your friend Jamie has the edge on you. What will you do to meet and exceed his performance?

Give this some serious thought - Why should I mentor you?

Ranger Lefty,
I will exceed Jamie's performance by using more of the resources around my area including my school gym, and PTing with Jamie and on my own more often. To improve my two mile run time I am joining my schools cross country team where everyday each individual runs about five miles, and to answer your earlier question Ranger Lefty, I would like to be mentored since I see the process of becoming a Ranger as one no one can complete on their own, because to be a Ranger I feel that you must be able to use teamwork and to learn from others. Ranger Lefty I believe you should mentor me because you can prepare and guide me for the future and make me the best candidate I can be to become United States Army Ranger

Ranger Lefty, this will not affect my opportunities with you, will it? I don't want my friend's bad decision to reflect negatively on me.
