Sitrep

Post by bostonian23 »

Rangers and all others

Here is a Sitrep on my situation as of now. I finished school in May 2012 and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating I was offered a job in the CJ field here in Boston which I have been doing since.

I started the recruitment process almost 4 months ago, when I decided I wanted to persue the goal of serving within the 75th Ranger Regiment.

I took the ASVAB and scored well enough to qualify for service within the 75th Ranger Regiment. I was fortunate enough to secure a 11x option 40 with a ship date of April 22 2012. Unfortunately my recruiter did not inform MEPs that I had at one time in my life been on medicine for ADD and was denied my physical along with losing my contract.

I got a doctors note from the physician stating that I had not been on any form of medicine for over 3 years and was denied and was asked to submit more. Along with my transcripts from college and high school I got a letter of recommendation from my current supervisor . I am now waiting to hear back from MEPs to hopefully get news that I am fit for service. Lengthy update Rangers but I am waiting for the response still. I will post a PT test in here tomorrow before work. Thank you for the site Rangers and all the information.

Regards
Ryan

Ranger Jim

I resubmitted the packet again today for hopefully the last time. A form that is only valid for 30 days had to be resigned I cannot remember the specific form , but it was no longer valid . I was away for a week and last week here in Boston was basically a wash because of the terrorist attack. I will have a answer in hopefully a week. I'm getting closer slowly but surely, just waiting for the green light. I apologize for taking so long to answer knocking out 50.

Ryan

Ranger Jim

I just got the call from my recruiter today. I got disapproved, and now need to go to a specialist for further testing. A set back and was disappointing to hear, although it means I just have more time to prepare now. It is frustrating but I will continue to get ready and fight tooth and nail for my opportunity.
