Sitrep-OEM

Post by OEM »

After getting over my self-imposed embarrassment, I am ready to post a quick status update. I have successfully completed two Darby phases and two Mountain phases of Ranger School. There are no words to describe how Ranger School changed me. However, I am currently home on Exodus leave and licking my wounds while preparing for Florida.

Ranger School has already made me a different person; for the most part a better person. Justifying and coping with recycling twice is/was hard for me. Yes, I understand my issues are self-imposed. There has not been a buddy to my left or right that has intentionally made me feel bad for recycling. Recycling just plain sucks. Well, except for stuffing my face with blueberry pancakes. And, I haven't lost any weight either.

I do not have much more to say at the time. If anyone has any questions please let me know.

Anything worth doing is worth re-doing. I did the mountains twice. Never never quit!

Thank you all for the inspiration. I needed the motivation. Exodus will be good for my mind, body and soul. Watching my son play around has given me the fuel needed to complete Ranger.

My wife has told me to come back with my tab or on it...

As if that's not motivating enough.

:D You should be happy to know it is currently a lovely mix of snow and sleet at this current hour (1935 on Saturday 29 Dec) at Camp Merrill. Be glad Florida is in your near future. Good Luck!

It's been more than 5 years since you signed in. When are you going to be verified?

Well done. Are you going to sew your tab on with white thread?
