Letter from Hopps (RANGER)

Post by Earthpig »

I received this letter today from Hopps:

******************************************************
Ranger EarthPig,

It was good to hear from you. Yes, I made PG (Platoon Guide). We don't have PL. I was PG for about two weeks. Then I got fired because I forgot my elbow pads when we went to the range. Who needs them anyways! No big deal though, because the PG is the Drill Sgt's Bitch. I was happy to get the opportunity to do it.

A lot of my platoon is a bunch of immature, wanna-be-back-at-high-school teenagers! We get things done when a DS is around, but when there isn't one around, they screw off.

60% of my platoon have Option 40s. About 80% of them don't want their Ranger contracts anymore. The rest of the platoon is pretty much NG. They only want to leave and go back to their units.

I am in Week 9, the start of it. My last PT Test I got a 289, so I still need to work on my PT. I only have moved up 20 points. I now am doing PT at night, before going to bed.

Well, lights out.

Hopps

That's why I told nryan63 in his Intro, that I felt confident he could secure a RIP slot in OSUT, if he continued to max his PT tests and do well in his infantry tasks. With that many slots being burned, I'm sure that the Ranger Liasons are trolling for fresh meat.

PS: Keep up the good work, Hopps. I have to say, you've 'grown up' quite a bit over the past few months.
