Introduction- Kyle

Hello Rangers,

My name is Kyle. I am currently part of C. Co 16th Ordnance Battalion, in Fort Lee, VA. I hope to become a Ranger, and join the ranks of the 75th in due time. I enlisted in the Army on the 9th of September last year. I chose to be a 91D and was lucky enough to receive option 40 with my contract. For as long as I can remember, my goal in life was to become a United States Army Ranger. I began speaking with my recruiter in 2010 while still in High School, when I finally convinced my parents to sign the paperwork making it possible for me to join DEP, I stressed Ranger to my recruiter, when the time came to choose my MOS, he said my options were either go infantry, because if I do well there, they'll give me the options of airborne, then Ranger, or go 91D, where with option 40 it was a guarentee. I left for basic in Ft. Leonard Wood on 14 Feb 2012, graduated on the 26th of April, and arrived in Fort Lee for AIT on the 28th. Graduated on the 17th, now I'm just waiting for a slot to become available in Airborne. I'm looking to learn as much as possible about what I'll need to know before the time comes for me to prove myself, and to become a part of the Ranger community.
