Am I too small for Ranger school?

Post by WannabeCherryLT »

Hello all,

I'm an ROTC cadet, and hopefully I get commissioned in 2006. I think i want to branch detail and do infantry and ranger. I'm only 5'4" and about a buck 45. Do you think it's physically possible for me to make it through ranger school?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Lesser men have graduated the course.

On another note - how about posting an intro there stud? Being that you are in college, you're probably smart enough to read and follow simple instructions.

Size has nothing to do with anything. Company Commander in 1-75, named Favatti, 5'4, bout 150. Never broke a sweat.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

I went through ranger school at 5'4" and 145 lbs. Just be tactically proficient and help your buddies (remember the third stanza, "I will shoulder more than my share of the task, whatever it may be, 100% and then some."

I graduated with good peer evals; one of the Bat boys gave me a scroll when we went to dinner after graduation. One of the best moments of ranger school.

One of the things that I'm sure you learned in Ranger school Sparkyur, was attention to detail....Go to the proper Introduction forum and let us know a little about yourself, that way we'll all know who we're talking to. A proper introduction before posting anything else is one of the rules we all live by here.
