SITREP - Rob

Post by Rob »

Rangers,

We graduated Airborne today. Jumping is a pretty awesome thing. We stay at Airborne for now and then move to RASP hold on Tuesday morning. I'm pretty nervous, but it's also amazing to be taking a part in this.

Congrats Paratrooper!...You're one step closer. Remember they can't kill you, but they can make you have a bad day and quit, so have a good one and don't quit!

Rangers,

I didn't make it into the RASP class that started this week. They had more people than open slots. I should be in the next one. It just means more time to prepare.

Rangers,

I'm afraid I have a bad SITREP. The night before our 8 mile out to Cole Range, I got hit with a mother of a stomach virus. I was up the entire night puking, I couldn't keep any water held down. I tried to make the ruck with my puking and everything, but I just couldn't. I'm trying to get back in for another go.

As long as you don't quit, it doesn't matter how many times you have to start over!
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorius triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
